Welcome to Alex Wright, the Museum’s new Executive Director

Please join us in welcoming our new Executive Director, Alex Wright, pictured on the right introducing a fellow former fighter pilot into the museum.
A Louisiana native, Alex is a retired Air Force fighter pilot with over 5000 hours of flying time. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millsaps College. Alex served in the Air Force and the Air National Guard, moving to Tucson in 1985 as a member of the 162 Tactical Fighter Wing. As a pilot he mostly flew in the Air Force A-7 and F-16 aircraft. Alex retired in 2005 after 32 years of service, and has been heavily involved in volunteer and charity work in southern Arizona. He is also an active member of The Friday Pilots. Alex was married to the late Kathy Wright for 35 years and enjoys living near his two children and six grandchildren in Tucson.
