On departing Poltava on 28 Jun 44, ran into weather and landed at Teheran. To Cairo on 29 Jun 44. Landed at Tripoli. Had five P-51 mechanics as passengers. To Casablanca 3 Jul 44. To England 9 Jul 44. Crash landed at Tolwyn, Wales. Hit an air raid shelter. Damaged beyond repair, salvaged. Crew safe.

Crew returned to base next day. Plane later repaired and returned to duty. MIA Leipzig 29 May 44. Shot down by fighters. Nr. 4 engine feathered, right wing on fire and tail damaged. Turned over on its back and went down in spin. Crashed near Rochefort. All evade.
