GivingTuesday was founded as a simple idea: to bring people together for a day of giving back. It has since spread like a wave across the world, with over 160 countries in 2018. Now in its 8th year, nearly every country on earth is participating in GivingTuesday. That is why our PastFuturePresent campaign is kicking off on GivingTuesday this year.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL?

The story of the 390^th Bomb Group is the story of Americans in WWII. Each deeply personal veteran experience reflects the sacrifices made by service members and their families. The 390^th Memorial Museum is working every day to preserve these stories of our shared past for our collective future. In the present, we need your support to build a dynamic rotating exhibit program and a robust child and family education program. We know:

The Children of today are the Museum Lovers of tomorrow. We need your help to build interesting, interactive exhibits and programs for the smallest museum guests, so they develop a love for history that will grow with them. This requires not only building exhibits but developing curriculum and buying materials to help little hands grasp history.
Rotating exhibits are a great way to bring in exciting, educational displays that help deepen our understanding of WWII and the 390^th Bomb Group. In order to bring in these exhibits and dive deeper into history, we need to upgrade our proposed rotating exhibit space.

To do this, we want to raise $15,000, recruit four excellent Education Volunteers and two Docents, and solicit for our Collection any personal letters from veterans to their family and friends during WWII.

WHAT IS NEXT?
