390th Veterans Reunite, Share Stories

The annual reunion of the 390th Bomb Group was held October 18-20 in Tucson, AZ. Highlighting the event was an hour-long Veteran’s Story Time, during which the eight participating veterans answered the question:

What was your toughest mission?

Their stories brought laughter, stunned silence, and applause…and they are available to you, now! Please feel welcomed to share this video with your friends and family.

We thank all those who attended this year’s reunion, most specifically our veterans: Robert Carr, Richard Bushong, Harold Kronenberg, Sam Robertson, Chuck Baker, Vincent Evans, John Magill, and William Ellett.

Located in Tucson, Arizona, the mission of the 390th Memorial Museum it so honor and memorialize those veterans who provided ground support and flew the B-17 in the 390th Bombardment Group of the Eighth Air Force in World War II, to serve as a window on the air war over Europe by the 390th and related Bomb Groups in that conflict, and to educate the public on their service and sacrifice in the cause of freedom.
