2018 Reunion Dates are Announced

Shown in the photograph: Brothers Gil (bombardier, left) and Roland (pilot, right) Kurtz were both assigned to the same air crew. They discussed naming their plane after an older sibling who had raised them (the boys had been orphaned at a young age). When the rest of the crew reflected on the suggestion that the plane be called Sister Kate, they felt that it would be lucky to have it named after a nun. It was years later, at a 390th Bomb Group reunion, that the misunderstanding was revealed.

The annual reunion of the 390th Bombardment Group (H) will be held October 18-20 in Tucson, Arizona. Details of the event will be announced in the Summer issue of the Square J Bulletin (available to museum members).  The Square J Bulletin will be published August 1, with registration opening shortly after.

Hotel registration can be made immediately at the DoubleTree Reid Park, Tucson. Please be sure to mention that you are with the 390th Reunion to receive the applicable discount. The group discount can be honored only by making reservations direct with the hotel at 520-881-4200.
